Companion & Homemaker Services

 A BrightPath provides non-medical household and companionship support, including laundry and linen care, meal support, errands, household organization, light cleaning, wellness check-ins, medication reminders, companionship, appointment assistance, and basic pet care. 

 Most services range from $30 to $45 per hour. Some services have standalone-visit or add-on pricing. Transportation, groceries, supplies, parking, tolls, admission fees, and similar expenses are billed separately when applicable.  We can customize services.

 Yes. Hourly services have a two-hour minimum. Additional time is billed in 30-minute increments. 

 Evening and weekend services are billed at an additional $3 per hour. Major holidays are billed at 1.5 times the regular rate.

 When transportation is provided, mileage is billed at $1.78 per mile. The client is also responsible for applicable parking fees and tolls.

 Yes. Staff may shop with the client or on the client’s behalf for routine needs such as groceries, prescription pickup, and post-office visits. The client is responsible for purchases and applicable travel expenses. 

 Staff may provide verbal reminders based on a written schedule or prescription label and may document that a reminder was given. Staff do not select, organize, handle, open, or administer medication. 

 No. Services are non-medical and do not include hands-on personal care, feeding assistance, medical monitoring, nursing, medical advice, healthcare decision-making, or medical nutrition management. 

 A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations.
